The way students can learn to use the web base applications is by making a blog that would involve them all. The second part of the article is about blogging. The idea of blogging for a class is great if is used correctly. The one way is to use the idea of blogging is by having a weekly or daily journals from the students. Also the teacher could load lesson for the class along with samples of the what the work should look like. This is a way to increase the students use of technology and programs.
1. With web base applications always changing, how would the teacher be able to keep up with technology?
I think for a teacher is essential for them to know what new applications they can use in the classroom. This way they could be ahead of the students. It would depend on what grade you are teaching to know what new technology is out there for the grade they are teaching. For a teacher to not know applications or programs, it would be kind of hard to teach that class, plus I think it would look bad for a student to know more then the teacher.
2. With technology in the schools, can blogging hurt the teacher or students?
I think no, because it is a way to communicate outside the classroom. Just for example when a teacher is out, they could have the lesson plan on the blog and the students would not miss any learning. Plus it is a way to help out any student who has a problem. Then the other student could help with the problem.
